Hit-and-run injures 7-year-old boy trick-or-treating in Berkeley
BERKELEY — A young boy suffered a broken leg Tuesday after being hit by a vehicle while trick-or-treating in what police called a hit-and-run crash.

The 7-year-old was in the 1200 block of Derby Street with several other children when the collision happened about 6:25 p.m., according to a statement from Berkeley police. None of the other children was injured.
An ambulance took the boy to a hospital. Police said he also was treated for bruises and cuts.
According to police, a dark sedan hit the boy. The driver did not stay at the scene.
