Details emerge around alleged auto murder in Vallejo

A Vallejo murder suspect reportedly killed a man with her car following an argument in June, Wednesday testimony revealed.

About 25 members of the public silently filled the gallery in Courtroom 101 of the Solano Justice Building to witness 22-year-old Kalece Farr’s preliminary examination. Farr’s head bounced up and down slightly as she rested a cheek on her fist at the hearing to determine whether there is enough evidence for the case to go to trial.

Clarence Corbin, a brother of the victim, Arthur Corbin, fought back sobs while attempting to answer Assistant District Attorney Mark Ornellas’ questions about what happened the afternoon of June 3.

“I was asleep. I woke up,” Clarence Corbin said softly, recalling that Farr and his brother had gotten into an argument just before the incident.

He claimed he’d previously seen Farr threaten his brother with a pair of scissors, although the defense claimed in that incident Arthur Corbin had attacked Farr first.

Officer Zach McKenna of the Vallejo Police Department told attorneys that he arrived at a Donna Court home June 3 to find Arthur Corbin lying in the street near a white Mercedes.

“It had significant damage to the windshield and it had what appeared to be blood all over the vehicle,” McKenna said.

Ornellas played surveillance footage showing Farr standing near the vehicle shortly after the incident.

Vallejo police previously announced that Farr had killed a pedestrian in a June vehicle collision but provided few additional details.
