Woman, infant found safe after kidnapping in Oakland
OAKLAND — A woman and an infant were found safe after they were apparently kidnapped Wednesday, police said.
Police were investigating the kidnapping and did not announce any arrests. They said the kidnapping happened about 9 a.m. in the 1200 block of East 33rd Street. Officers contacted the person who reported the kidnapping when they got to the scene.
That person then provided video of a possible kidnapping of a woman and an infant.
Police did not say how investigators were able to find the two people. They were continuing to investigate and urged anyone with information to contact them at 510-238-3641.
